The Ryazan Baby Home is a non-profit organization that is financed from the budget according to the approved estimate. Voluntary donations can be regarded as another source of obtaining funds.

Unfortunately parents, principally single mothers, abandon their children, leaving their newborns right in the clinics. And abandonment of a child is still the main reason for placing a child into the baby orphanage.

Fostering orphans is quite a complicated task. Each care-giver has from 6 to 10 children to look after. Naturally all the kids can't be treated equally. They need individual care. Each of them demands a kind word, a smile, a different intonation.

All the attempts are made to place the children, remaining without parental care, into families. And only in the case if there's no way for that, such children are placed to special institutions orphanages.

Each year the number of children in our Baby Home is increasing. The building isn't fit for too many kids to stay. Lack of space has always been an problem for us.

In the picture above you can see the present building of the Baby Home. The one below reveals our idea of a possible perspective.

A mansard roof has been specially designed, but to carry out this project we need 15 million rubles (= $500.000). To launch the construction work and complete the erection of walls and the roofing within 3-4 months we have to invest 6-7 million rubles (= $200.000). Unfortunately neither the Russian Federation government nor the local authorities can allot this sum to the Baby Home. They guarantee 1 million rubles (= $33.000) from the federal budget and another million from the regional budget. But they to grant more on conditions that I would draw no less that 3 million rubles (= $100.000) via donations or sponsor's contribution.

We are also in need of clothing, footwear, books, toys, baby food, furnishings, diapers, baby powder, lotions and such like things.

To take the children and the staff to the summer residence we need a van (for 20-30 people).
